B3: What are the Different Layers of My Own Identity?

In your daily life, the different parts of your background and experiences are not separated into boxes. You are made up of different parts, and you are never only one of those parts (a woman, for example, or a U.S. citizen). Here we use the term layers of identity to refer to the relationships among different parts of yourself and how they affect your life.

The Layers of Identity exercise will help you reflect on how your own background and experiences have formed your layers of identity and affected your opportunities in life.  Click on the exercise link below (in red).
